First Collection —
First Bloom

First Bloom is the debut collection of Studio 1922, featuring 12 original paintings inspired by the colors of Mediterranean spring — mimosa, violets, cherry blossoms, magnolias, and daffodils found in the gardens of Nice.

Alongside the paintings, we also create hand-painted bear sculptures that add a playful element and complement the artworks in an interior.

Mother & Daughter Studio

Limited collectible paintings for interiors and collectors.

Studio 1922 is a contemporary art studio founded by mother and daughter Natalia and Elise in Nice.

Natalia studied graphic design in Kyiv and now lives and works in Nice. In her artistic practice, she explores colour, emotion and the spontaneity of gesture, combining her artistic experience with the intuitive freedom of her daughter’s creativity.

Inspired by the light, gardens and festivals of the French Riviera, we create expressive abstract paintings for modern interiors. Elise has grown up surrounded by art, and today we paint together - creating large canvas works and hand-painted bear sculptures as part of this series.

Our first collection, FIRST BLOOM, was created during an intense 15-day creative period, capturing the spontaneity and joy of painting together. A new series of paintings is already in development.

Home is where we paint.

Creative Process

Alice has been surrounded by art from early childhood. With Natalia’s background as an artist and graphic designer, museums and galleries have always been a natural part of their world. One of Alice’s first memorable art experiences was visiting the Musée d’Orsay in Paris.

Over time, Alice developed a strong desire to create large paintings on canvas, and today this vision comes to life through their shared artistic practice.

An important part of the process also includes painting original bear sculptures. During the work, paint naturally flows and drips onto the canvas, and these spontaneous streams of color often become the starting point for new compositions.

Through this process, the artworks combine play, intuition, and artistic composition.
